The Board is currently accepting nominations for a LMSW in District 1, currently filled by Sharrie Cranford, Chair, who is eligible for reappointment and a LICSW in District 6, currently filled by Marilyn Colson, who is also eligible for reappointment.  If you are a licensed social worker at the level of licensure listed from one of these Districts and you are interested in serving on the Board you may start collecting letters of nomination from fellow social workers.  Or, you may wish to submit a letter on behalf of someone else or for the current member eligible for reappointment.  Nominations will be accepted by mail only, until September 1, 2018.  The top nominations will be submitted to the Governor’s office for a final decision.  The Board appointments are for three years beginning October 1, 2018 running through September 30, 2021.  Should you have any questions regarding the nomination and appointment process, please contact us at (334) 242-5860 or info@swb.alabama.gov.
